Enhancing Payments for Ecosystem Services

Category
Project

We were engaged by the OECD to research and write a case study chapter for a book on the design, implementation and evaluation of the use of reverse auctions as a means of purchasing ecosystem services. The book chapter was based on a number of previous MBI projects, with additional analysis and material on the benefits of enhanced metrics and measures to increase participation and competition within markets. Part of this project involved a workshop with representative and technical experts forming the OECD’s Working Group on Economics and Biodiversity.
